What is Spiritual Warfare?
SPIRITUAL WARFARE: Christians, Scripture, Books, Weapons & Deliverance.
Psalm 102:18, “Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord.”
INTRODUCTION: In my LIFE & WORKS Post (my “Patchwork Memoirs” as I call ’em!) I wrote about our return to Canada from Yorkshire and starting school here at age 8.
To which I had to later add, in a thoughtfully written Update:
“Since writing the above, I’ve been asked, ‘Didn’t you like ANY school?’ Had some angry responses.
“Well, yes. Sunday school. Friends took me to every Sunday school around, every denomination. They seemed to think I needed it.”
Sunday school was a refreshing discovery for me. Different messages, of course, since they were a hodge-podge of denominations. But that made it all the more exciting.
One teacher especially (the mother of a close friend) spoke of Jesus casting out demons and battling Satan…
In Yorkshire, we had visited old castles and churches — Medieval stone buildings with their own secret stories. Especially the churches. Especially York Minster Cathedral. Now my new teacher had some answers for me — although I had never spoken my questions. Or told my experiences.
I don’t know when I first heard or read the phrase “Spiritual Warfare” but I understood its meaning from the beginning. It’s been a lifelong enchantment.
And investigation. Certainly adventure.
What is Spiritual Warfare?

Whether you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior or not, know that Spiritual Warfare with demons and evil spirits, has existed since Lucifer became a fallen angel when he was cast out of heaven.
That’s where Spiritual Warfare began.
Revelation 12:7-9, tells the story of who was involved, what happened and where Lucifer and his angels went.
“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
“And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world — he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”
Lucifer, known by many names, has one job and that is to tempt all of humanity to fall into a lifetime of sin, which leads to eternal separation from God Almighty.
Read on because we will show you how to overcome spiritual warfare and the evil spirits that come after you.
1- Spiritual Warfare: By Invitation Only
Know this, the more you cling close to God, the more you will be protected.
You cannot overcome evil attacks without Christ.
Spiritual warfare begins in the mind then crosses over when thoughts becomes words and actions.
As a result they affect you as well as other people!
2 Timothy 3:1-5, “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.
“For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.
“Avoid such people.”
When you willingly gravitate toward evil things you are inviting Satan and his demons and evil spirits through the front door!
Do not invite Satan, demons or evil spirits into your life.
In truth, it’s the only way they can enter because God gave us all the freewill to decide anything.
2- You Must Have A Godly Plan
From the moment you were able to think on your own, you were subject to spiritual warfare.
Your choices, God-Approved decision making or Godlessness.
Be warned and do not make the eternal mistake of viewing Satan as a fictional or cartoon character, because he is real!

Moreover, because Satan has a strategy, in order to overcome demons and evil spirits, you must have a Godly plan!
Evil happens in your life when you invite it to happen and as a result, you are inviting Satan into your life with the endgame of claiming your soul.
Protect your environment, your home as they are your sanctuary and eliminate anything from your home that is in opposition to God’s Word.
People in your close circle should lift you up and support your walk with Jesus Christ.
Limit your exposure to news, the media, and the entertainment world.
Because people on stage and with microphones and megaphones are only 1% of the world’s voice.
Moreover, do not be influenced by what you read, hear or see from the media, the entertainment world or any electronic device.
In truth, He created you to live forever, and to make that happen He sacrificed His One and Only Son Jesus Christ for us.
All you need to do is accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life.
Pray to Father God for Him to send His Holy Spirit to you to guide you in making a Godly plan for your life.
Because when you do, the answers on what to do and who to do it with will become known to you.
3- Spiritual Warfare: Your Greatest Weapon
The Holy Bible.
Feeds your soul, you gain wisdom and understanding about all things under the sun.
Because The Holy Bible is God’s Lifebook specifically created for you and your life journey!
He gave this to you, me and every soul who has ever been created because He wants us to succeed in all we do.
The Bible will protect you against anything.
Which is why you must carry God’s Word with you wherever you go!
4- Put On The Armor Of God Almighty
You are at war with unseen enemies, demons and evil spirits led by Satan, the Father of Lies.
To overcome, you must wear the Armor of God!
Ephesians 6:10-17, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
“And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Trust and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Pray in earnest for Father God to send you His Spirit of Truth each day.
As a result, you will be protected by the Armor of God Almighty!
When you are engaged in spiritual warfare, Father God gives you the Power of The Holy Spirit to live and work within you.
He does this to provide you with all you need because you are His child.
Love, trust and obey Him and He will protect you from anything!
5- Spiritual Warfare: Recognizing Evil
Simply put, love unites and evil divides.
Demons and evil spirits are Satan’s dividers.
They are relentless in that they will uniquely come at you.
Meaning, every person encounters sins of the flesh to deal with during their life.
View these demons and spirits as Satan’s Vice Presidents of sin as they all have their own sin lane.
Galatians 5:19-21, “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
When you see or hear evil, turn to God’s Word, pray for Him to clothe you in the Armor of God, and walk away from that situation.
6- Strength In Numbers
As much as you try, do not go it alone because you were born not to be alone.
Created by God, born through your parents who cared for you and raised you.
Moreover, it is for you to find your eternal family, those true followers of Christ here on earth.
For there is God given strength in numbers!
Find a Bible Believing Church and you will find strength for your walk through this life.
Moreover, you in turn will add comfort and strength to others!
Prayer with other believers will ward off satanic attacks, because all you have to do is ask Him.
Matthew 18:19-20, “Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
7- The Power of Christ
A great many disciples traveled throughout the region to preach the gospel, heal and drive out demons.
Luke 10:17-19, “The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
By the Grace and Power of Christ, you are saved because you believe and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
CONCLUSION: Moreover, believe that by and through the Power of Christ, He will command demons and evil spirits to flee from your life! Carry this piece of scripture with you everywhere.
Romans 8:31,“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
